Fashionista and.. Baker?

Yes, apparently I'm a pretty good baker, in fact
if I wasn't set out to teach, or lost interesting in the
fashion industry, I would definitely open up my own
cute bakery. I created this cake below and decided it need to be
ultra colourful because I've just started my junior qualification
and it's apparently all about colour and singing.
It's angel food cake with a cream cheese frosting.
(Plus an elephant sized amount of food colouring).

The top reminds me a bit of the Ninja Turtles, no?

Afternoon Apps and Cocktails

So with the beautiful weather, what better way to enjoy it
(other than at the beach),
than to sit out on the patio with friends and enjoy
a few cocktails and apps.

Back... Again.

So my blog's been on hiatus for the past few months; I've been completely swamped with school work and to be honest I still am! However, 3 things are different:
1) I'm officially a certified teacher (Yay!)
2) I'm heading to China to teach (Yay!!)
3) My wardrobe continues to keep growing (Yay!?)

Here are some of the newest additions to my must haves for the spring:

I got this gorgeous clutch from Zara;
it's oversized and bedazzled with shiny, yet subtle coloured sequins.
It's perfect for the season because it goes well with virtually any outfit,
especially the nude colours that are currently in.

I finally got my hands on a pair of Hunter Rain boots:
"April showers, bring May flowers" and while we're already into May
it's certainly pouring like it's April, so what better way to stay dry
than in these comfy boots!

I also was gifted with a beautiful Michael Kors watch
(which I may or may not have had the luxury of picking out).
I love this one because of the Roman numerals, making it unique,
as well as it's oversized fit, making it perfect for daily wear
or taking out into the night.

I picked up this very spring inspired purse from Aldo.
It's pastel colours and beautiful silk accent is exactly
what I need to accessorize this spring and I like that
it has a classic shape. It is also the perfect size to
take to school everyday because it not only fits my MacBook,
but also my lunch!

RomWe

Okay, I adore this coat. It's from
romwe.com, a Chinese online retailer with
affordable fashion forward pieces.
The best part is that when you order, there are no customs
or convertable fees, because China is one of the only countries
that can surpass these charges. Even better is that when you first
sign up, you get 20% of your first order!

Perfect Pout

I love everything about this look: the clothes, the styling, the accessories.

Absolutely loooove this look!
So perfect for spring, just throw on a blazer like this:

I am absolutely in love with the glamour, soft textures,
and styling! Jennifer Lawrence and Lily Colins
are my favourite in this spread.

So after a stressful day of applying to jobs for teaching positions,
(I applied to China, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Brazil,
and the North West Territories), I could think of no better
way to relax than to do some retail therapy.
I decided I needed a new watch, some earring and a ring.
I also treated myself to the BEST smelling lotion
that I've ever come across, and yes it really does smell like oatmeal
cookies, but the good ones your grandma would make from scratch
with butter. I also got some amazing green tea from David's,
straight from Japan; my Mr. Cat mug is the perfect size
for a good cup of tea, and his removable top hat helps to
keep it hot!
Cheers <3

Essentials in My Clutch:

First of all let me just say how in love I am with my new envelope clutch from Aldo!
It's perfect from day to night and has a detachable chain that transforms
it from clutch to purse.
The items I'm listing below are my bare essentials that I think are important
and belong in any girls clutch, purse, bag, etc.

Dior Addict Lip Glow is literally amazing.
Not only does it come in cute casing,
but it moisturizes, is spf 10,
and responds to the colour chemistry of your lips
to create a shade that is as unique as you are.

These blotting tissues are great: they not only get rid of shine,
but they also provide a touch of mineral powder
to keep you looking matte longer.
Definitely a life saver.

I also think it's important to keep a tiny bit of perfume,
either a roll-on or even a small sample bottle just incase
you need to freshen up.

Last, but not least, are bobby pins.
I can't count how many times these little guys
have saved the day, but they can take a worn out look
and make it chic in seconds!
